I wasn’t ready for how chaotic this one got lol. As always, there is SO MUCH that happens in these books! I kind of wish they were split up like light novels, cause there are clearly mini arcs. The setup of different zones in each bubble for each set of Crawlers made the required level of teamwork and coordination that much more interesting. I can see why so many Syndicate citizens tune into Dungeon Crawler World because it’s never boring. We also got new characters added to the cast like Samantha, Louis, & Juice Box.
Of course, as Carl dives deeper into the mysteries of the Anarchist’s Cookbook, there is so much cool stuff being foreshadowed. At this point in the DCC series, I know to expect absolute mayhem in the last 20% of the book, and this one didn’t disappoint either. Can’t wait to continue on with the series!

The Cookbook has clearly led to a change in Carl. Not only is he not alone, but he’s now capable of following through on some of his most terrorist plans to try and screw over Syndicate/Borant. There were so many jaw-dropping sequences like him rigging up a cat-bomb for Loita or the Fake Gate Plan at the end of the book. I’m so locked in on how his relationship with this “Pacifist charity” will develop. The fact that the CEO is a former Crawler and that they have access to boatloads of cash means that they’re probably an undercover resistance group. More crazy plans to follow I’m sure, especially for the “Compensated Anarchist”. I’ve gone back to read the class description, and the foreshadowing is crazy:
“When the oligarchs want to manufacture a social movement, or better yet, stop one in its tracks, they must first bring in the big guns. The paid protestors. The Agent Provocateur. This Monk/Rogue hybrid class is a trapmaking, bomb-making, social-media dynamo. The Compensated Anarchist will happily throw a Molotov through a window one moment and step in front of a camera to plead for the violence to stop the next. Experts in hand-to-hand and dirty tactics, the Compensated Anarchist only suffers when it comes to more traditional fighting techniques.”
Also, the EPILOGUE!!! Beatrice being alive and claimed by Odette cannot lead to anything good lol.
